S6.12 False Positive April 8, 2011

Lily and Marshall get a positive pregnancy test and tell their friends. The friends are having different reaction on the news and considering what they are doing with their life.

Robin just got a job as a coin flipping bimbo on a TV show. This is far from her plans for the future. She have another job opening at a serious TV network. However, this is off camera and not as glamorous. But when she founds out about the pregnancy she takes that job.

Barney is considering his shallow life and decide not to buy a diamond striped suit but instead give away money to charity.

Lily and Marshall is freaked out and realises that they are not ready for parenthood.

So when they find out they are not pregnant everyone cals down. Robin takes the coin flippinggig. Barney buys his suit and Lily and Marshall decide to go for a dog.

It is Ted who brings order and his ordering every one to do what they had decided, and his forceful way makes them reconsider and follow what they had planned.

A very nice and fun episode.

S6.11 The Mermaid Theory April 7, 2011

Can a single person be out with a married person of the same gender? Little bit of Harry met Sally. It starts with Zoey and Ted being out alone. Then to prove that it is no problem Marshall and Robin goes out. But that’s a very akward dinner.

The theory is that after awhile when spending time with a woman, regardless how ugly she is she will sooner or later turn into some thing alluring like a mermaid.

Ted is also spending some time on the Captain’s boat, he wants to be friend with both Zoey and the captain. But on the both he starts to worry about being killed by the Captain as they are out alone (Zoey didn’t feel well he claimed).

I didn’t like the episode too much. It wasn’t bad, but didn’t offer anything new. Except that we found out that Lily will become pregnant eventually.

S6.10 Blitzgiving April 7, 2011

A bit strange thing happens in this episode. It’s about a curse that can be transfered between people and the curse is that when they leave the room (or look the other way) the most amazing things will happen. This seem to be written for having Jorge Garcia on the show. So yes, there were some funny parts, but it didn’t really fit in the show. And why would Zoey be so ok and friendly with Barney and Marshall? They work at GNB as well, so why is it only Ted who is the enemy?

Not a memorably episode in my opinion.

S6.9 Glitter April 7, 2011

Lily is in full “I wanna have a baby mode” and talk about babies constantly. She doesn’t pay attention to Robin and things she says, and every conversation is steered back to babies, making Robin more and more frustrated.

Barney has finally found the TV-show that made Robin Sparkle famous and they watch it. It’s kind of sexual innuendos all the time so the gang can hardly watch it. Beside Robin there is a Jessica Glitter who is on the show. Robin tells them they were BFF both on show and outside the show. Lily are concerned that they no longer are BFF and Ted deduces that the reason they broke up was that Jessica became pregnant. Lily is afraid that this will mean Robin will break up with her as well. Lilygoes to talk to Robin without baby talk, but fail with this. Robin says she is tired of Lily talking about this all the time, and not even being pregnant yet. Lily breaks up with Robin and leaves.

Barney and Marshall finds Jessica Glitter to get the real truth about why they broke up.Turns out it was Jessica not having the time/interest to keep up BFF when she became mother. She felt very bad about this, but haven’t had the courage to apologize to Robin.

Lily finds Robing at the Hoser Hut and apologize. And Glitter sings the shows duet for Robin who joins in.

Very funny and great episode. Loved it.

S6.8 Natural History April 6, 2011

The gang go to the natural history museum for a GNB event. Barney tells one of his tales about how he destroyed some things there when he was 6 years old, just because his uncle said: “Don’t touch anything!”. No one believes the story.However he when they are told not to touch anything Barney and Robin start to challenge each other in touching stuff. And in the end they are caught. The security guard tells them about this one time when he kid did the stuff Barney told them he did. Robin is impressed. Barney is shocked to find out that the uncle he was there with in fact was his father.

Ted meets Zoey and her husband “the captain”. The captain is a rich guy and Ted starts to tease Zoey. Zoey falls in tears and tell him about how awful her life is. Ted admits to her that he hates working for GNB and that he doesn’t want to tear down the Arcadian. Zoey is very happy since she tried to make him say something like that as she had a recorder.The Captain tells Ted he will destroy the tape later on, but Ted decline. Zoey hears this and promise she will destroy Ted fair and square, and that she will destroy the tape.

Lily finds out Marshall plans to work for a long term at GNB and is disappointed. She questions where the man she fell in love with are. But in the end she accept that Marshall at least for now will get a lot of money to spoil her and the future kids.

Nice episode. Seem to be some sparks between Robin and Barney again.

S6.7 Canning Randy April 6, 2011

Marshall has an assistant, former rebound wingman to Barney, Randy who is hopeless. Marshall end up firing Randy but he feels bad about hit and revoke the firing. However GNB has a severence check to personnell if they are fired that they don’t get if they quit on their own accord. Randy was very happy to get that money to start his own brewery. Once he is back at GNB he makes his best to be fired again, but it’s not until Marshall taste the beer he fires him. Just to make the dream come true.

And then their is some Zoey and Ted conflict, and Robin being secretive and Barney being annoying. Felt a bit random.

S6.6 Baby Talk April 5, 2011

Ted is interested in Robin’s cohost Becky. Robin really hates Becky who is a first class bimbo, acting like she is about 8.

Ted really likes the fact that he get to feel like a macho man taking care of the weak woman. He didn’t feel needed when he was with Robin. He makes Robin considering if she is do independent.She talks with Barney, and he also tells her he didn’t need her. But he reassure her that men prefer woman that are strong and independent instead of needy.

Barney takes it as a challenge to get a woman by speaking as a little boy. He is almost about to give up when a

Lily and Marshall is trying to get a baby.But Marshall hopes for a boy and Lily wants a girl. And both of them tries all the tricks that could be done.

It was an ok episode, not one of the best, but there were some fun stuff in it.

S6.5 Architect of Destruction April 5, 2011

Ted finds out that GNB needs to destroy an old building to erect the new headquarter. When he goes to look at the building he run in to a beautiful girl. Turns out she is fighting for different causes. In this case, save the building. Ted lies about his occupation so she will not find out about his role in the matter, but when he quits the project Barney makes sure she knows who he is. Ted tries to save part of the hotel to get the girl – and keep the job, even though he tries convince everyone it’s not about the girl. But when he finds out she’s married, he realises that he really don’t care about the hotel.

Robin tells Lily that the guy she dates, has small penis.Lily tells Marshall and Marshall has a very hard to deal with that.

It was an ok episode. I think the Lily tells Robin everything twist could have been done better. I liked that Marshall tried to coach Lily. I don’t know if guys really would be that sensitive about the size. But maybe they are.

S6.4 Subway Wars April 5, 2011

Once again Robin feels lost and confused and not really belonging anywhere. She tries to reach out and talk to Barney at the bar, but as he is occupied with putting the moves on some girl he brushes her off.

The gang taunt Robin that she was not a real New Yorker. For being that you needed to steal the cab from someone needing it more, crying on the subway and not caring who saw it, and killing a cockrouch with bara hands. Someone spots Woody Allen at a restaurant and the gang decide to compete to get their the fastest way. Everyone has their own reason to winning something.

Robin because of her work and love life. Ted cause he found out a student considered him boring. Lily because she was nervous she can’t get pregnant and she is ruthless in her need to succeed in something. Marshall has the same fear, and he wants to feel in control and secure, and even though he doesn’t feel this, he pretends it, inadvertently causing Lily to become more concern about her own failings. Barney just wants to win in everything.

So in the end Robin wins. Because Lily and Marshall get to talk with eachother and realise what the race is about. And Barney suddenly realises how hurt Robin is and how bad she need to win so he in the last minute tackling Ted so he falls just when he’s about to win. And not only did Robin win, during the day she did all the things that makes her a real New Yorker as well.

I like this episode, it was both funny and lots of jokes, and some real feelings that it’s easy to relate to.

S6.3 Unfinished April 4, 2011

Ted is enjoying his work as professor when Barney asks him to go ahead with his GNB head quarted. Ted decline, but he then is treated with the Barney Stinson way of turning a no into a yes. And Ted is flattered and starts to like the attention he gets. So in the end he does say yes. But he request the dinner Barney proclaim he never offers the ladies he is pursuing.

Robin still have unfinished feelings for Don and when she finds a newscast from Chicago those feelings gets too strong and she starts to drunk dialing him and threaten his life. Lily forces her to delete the contact, but since Robin has memorized the number that doesn’t help. But after awhile she forgets the number and then she realise she is finished with Don once and for all.

I liked the Ted and Barney part a lot. The Robin part I didn’t like as much. Kind of strange that no police officer arrested her for the threats. I think Don would have a pretty strong case against her.
